OTTB Gelding - 19 yrs

Jet Star did not do well on the track and was kept as a breeding stallion for some time. He was gelded at HSHR and successfully went through retraining and was adopted. Unfortunately when he was with his adopter he suffered an injury in the field from another horse. The injury prevents him from being sound when riding, so he was returned to our care. 

Paint Gelding - 16 yrs

Bandit is a friendly guy that loves attention. He came to us with ringbone and cannot be ridden. He might move a little slower but his personality keeps him in the spotlight. He is a welcoming companion to all of the new horses that come to HSHR.  

Thoroughbred Mare - 20 yrs

Money went through race training but never made it to the track. She is a firecracker and can have her chestnut mare days. She rides English and Western, and can jump. She is a competitive horse and is best for experienced horse people. 

Halflinger Mare - 13 yrs

Lily was donated to us for use in our therapy program. She is a former Amish cart horse. She is a very sweet girl and doing well in her retraining. 

Tennessee Walker - 19 yrs

Ivory is a kind and gentle mare that loves to be groomed. Ivory rides western and would be best suited to an intermediate rider.

OTTB - 14 yrs

Purling is an athletic mare that has come far in her retraining. She is intelligent and enjoys being worked with. Purl rides English and would do best with an intermediate to advanced rider. 

Quarter Horse - 21 yrs 

Z is an accomplished show horse and great trail rider. She loves attention and is a quiet and patient mare. She rides western with a bosal. 

Thoroughbred - 18 yrs 

Morning is an in your pocket mare that loves to be the center of someone's attention.
