Home Stretch Horse Rescue was started by three young women over a decade ago as a rescue for off track thoroughbreds. OTTB's are not the only equine in need of help, and now it is a place equine and other animals come to find a forever home. HSHR has become a place in the community that people of all ages can come to enjoy animals. Our mission started by providing equines and other animals a safe place to stay until they were able to be adopted. We are proud to say that we have expanded our mission to reach further and help people in our community! We have started an outreach program offering animal assisted therapy organizations the ability to use our trained animals for their programs. We are fortunate it has been a great success for the program participants as well as the animals that have been chosen.
